Using the Lansky Mini Crock Stick Knife Sharpening Rod is a breeze with our simple instructions. First, place it on a solid, flat surface at a comfortable height. Ensure the sharpening rods are securely held by the clips. Then, grip the base firmly with your fingers, keeping your hand away from the knife blade. Hold the knife with the blade straight up and down, mimicking the motion of slicing bread. Begin sharpening by placing the heel of the blade below the top end of the ceramic rod against the angle guide. Slice down and across the rod, drawing the blade toward you while maintaining a 90° angle. Repeat on the opposite rod with the opposite edge of the blade. Right or left hand operation is equally efficient. Need to sharpen pointed objects like fishhooks or darts? No problem. Simply place the ceramic sharpening rods in the provided groove and manually hold them side by side for precise sharpening. Remember, take your time and pay attention to each stroke. While the Crock Stick ceramic rod sharpener won't cut you, mishandling a blade can pose risks.
