Serrated blades make it easy to cut through bone, skin, and fat, and the blade shape will follow the contours as you cut. Dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. One blade is notched to cut through bones easily and serrated to prevent slippage. Handles are made of tough polypropylene and curved to fit the hand snugly so that maximum force can be exerted with minimal effort. For storage, the handles lock by simply pushing a red slide at the blades' base with the thumb. The sturdy barrel spring between the blades ensures the blades move precisely. The blades themselves curve inward so they meet in only one place at any given position and cutting action is smooth and exact. For resharpening, the blades can be taken apart.
